When I was in college, I studied abroad in the United States. That is why I understand how wonderful and difficult it is to live and work, in a foreign country.
We currently have staff members from East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Europe. First of all, I truly respect their hard efforts and their spirit of challenge.
Japanese traditional hotel (ryokan) are cultural assets that can be transmitted to the world, filled with the spirit and culture of the Japanese people. Working at a ryokan, which is the center of Japanese culture, you can learn a lot. Also, by fusing with different cultures through the eyes of foreigners, further development can be expected.
Hitoyoshi is blessed with abundant nature, including hot springs and the Kuma River, one of Japan’s three rapids. Hitoyoshi is a treasure trove of food, with ayu (sweetfish) and agricultural and livestock products nurtured by the magnificent nature, as well as world brand Kuma shochu (distilled spirit of Kuma). Furthermore, it is a fascinating place blessed with numerous historical buildings and ruins, such as the Aoi Aso Shrine. In my opinion, there are many wonderful people with a sense of humor. In order to convey the charm of this wonderful Hitoyoshi to the world, we are taking on the daily challenge of “creating Hitoyoshi fans all over the world,” a vision that all of our staff have thought through.
We do not want to waste the lives of those who have come all the way from their faraway home countries to choose Ayu no Sato. We will support you as much as possible to enrich your life. Let’s work together!
